If THEY can’t answer the question “What is privacy?”…Then we’re REALLY on our own!
The Security Roundtable’s September, 2007 podcast (HERE) has a great discussion on several different aspects of privacy. Michael, Rebecca, Martin, Andrew, Dan and Anton raise some really interesting questions, and even educate each other.
I recommend listening to this podcast to learn more about:
1) What are the two basic contexts of privacy you should consider?
2) What are today:s young people more likely to give out? Their e-mail address, or their home address? (You might be surprised.)
3) What “security warrior” changed their view on whether “We’ve lost our privacy” during the discussion.
4) Do privacy laws have any hope of protecting us?
5) Does Captain Privacy really wear a cape?
You can’t afford to miss this one, folks. I think a lot of us, after listening, will be prompted to talk to our kids about what THEY think privacy is. Once you give it up, your privacy is gone forever (…and that’s a mighty long time to you and me!)
