Be Honest. Or you’ll only be fooling yourself. Free Quick Check for Business IT Security.
Here’s another in a series of Free Security Tools (Here) that I am posting to this site. This one is a 2-page self-assessment to give a general idea of how well you’re protecting your critical business systems.
You start by thinking about what kinds of information your business depends on. Then, you try to remember who in your organization has been assigned certain “Security-Related” roles and responsibilities. Finally, you get to identify some of the real things your business is actively doing to stay secure.
The idea with this self-assessment is to give small business owners an idea of how well they are doing, and maybe providing enough ammunition to justify sitting down and hammering out the details of an IT Security program for their business.
Remember. If you aren’t honest with yourself about what is actually happening to the critical business systems under your control, what excuse do you give to a client when things go bad?
Go to the Free Security Tools page (Here) and look for the “Quick Check for Small Business IT Security” link.
